YAIM Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Yet Another Instant Messenger ("YAIM", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using YAIM, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be legally able to agree to these Terms in your jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account.
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to use YAIM to violate law, harass others, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operations, or share content you do not have rights to share.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Content and messaging
- You retain rights to content you submit.
- You grant us limited rights needed to host, transmit, and display content solely to operate YAIM.
- YAIM is currently not end-to-end encrypted; server-side processing may occur as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data. By using YAIM, you acknowledge that processing occurs as described there.
5. Service availability
YAIM is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, especially during early alpha stages.
6. Third-party services
YAIM may rely on third-party infrastructure and service providers. We are not responsible for outages or failures caused by those providers.
7. Termination
You may stop using YAIM at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if required for security, legal compliance, or Terms violations.
8. Disclaimers and liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Our aggregate liability is limited to amounts you paid for YAIM in the prior 12 months (or zero if none).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions/limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
10. Governing law
Unless otherwise required by applicable consumer law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where YAIM is operated.
